Testing ridiculously good vegan recipes

July 29th, 2011 · Lisa · manifest vegan, Recipe testing · Comments

Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve been a busy lady this week. Although many things slow down in the summer, I am not one of them.

Despite all the fun of running, swimming, working, writing and researching I managed this week there was also a lot of recipes testing taking place in my tiny condo kitchen. As I mentioned before I’m testing for Allyson of Manifest Vegan’s upcoming book.

If you weren’t already obsessed with Manifest Vegan you may have stumbled across Allyson’s guest post on Angela’s site Oh She Glows this week where she shared her favourite 5 vegan recipes.

If the pictures below tempt you then I encourage you to stop by Manifest Vegan and do some testing of your own. The Summer Pasta(less) Salad looks particularly perfect for the recent heatwave we’ve been experiencing.

Enough text…here is the food:

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie
Vegetable Miso Soup
Butterscotch Amaretti Cookies
Chocolate Orange Custard
so simple and ultra-decadent….wow.
I rolled the leftovers into luscious truffles to suggest smaller serving sizes (to myself).
Chocolate Almond Butter Cups
Chocolate Hazelnut Butter

The exciting news is that all this recipe testing has inspired some new creations of my own. I have a bunch of great new recipes to share with you in the next couple of days.
