Then we shared the incredible raw pizza that The Grid TOwas raving about last week. The thin crust made of walnut and zucchini has a soft texture, reminiscent of an oven-fresh pie. The red pepper marinara and cashew herb chèvre were beautifully balanced, both provided richness and vibrant flavours. This was the best raw pizza I’ve ever eaten.
Next, the raw Thanksgiving special arrived. This dish included a nut loaf with gravy, crispy roasted onions, cranberry fig compote, parsnip and almond mash, apple and squash mash, green beans and a mixed green salad. It was quite a feast! The flavours of fall were featured in each bite.
I especially loved the parsnip and almond mash and the apple and squash mash. My Mom adored the fresh cranberry and fig compote. Actually, we really enjoyed it all. I could not have pulled together anything that could have rivalled this plate on such a busy Saturday.
The decadent chocolate cake made my Mom very happy – even though it was so decadent that she had to take half of it home to enjoy later.
